NPR, MSNBC, Current TV Fleeing From Anti-Palin Random House Hoax Bio; McGinnis Claims Cover-Up

Joe McGinniss complained to lefty blog Firedoglake yesterday that almost everyone is canceling interviews in which he was to have discussed his book, The Rogue: Searching for the Real Sarah Palin:

Terry Gross [of NPR’s Fresh Air] has declined to have me on her show. As have all other NPR shows. My fifteen seconds as part of a report on All Things Considered is all I get from NPR. I’m told they are scared of losing more federal funding if right wing Congresspeople complain that they are “promoting” my book.

FYI, both Morning Joe and Keith Olbermann had me booked for last week, but canceled when they saw which way the wind was blowing.

I’d like people to know that about Olbermann. First, he attacked my book on Bill Maher without having read it-then, when the publicity director of Crown Publishing said to his producer that she hoped he would read it before interviewing me on his own show, he canceled me.

Rachel Maddow also refused to have me on.

According to McGinniss, his treatment by mainstream (and left) media has nothing at all to do with its negative reviews, or the fact that McGinniss himself admitted in January that there is no “factual evidence” to support many of its most “salacious” claims.

Rather, it is the result of a conspiracy to cover up that same media’s abject failure to expose the “real” Sarah Palin during the 2008 presidential campaign, including her role in the alleged “Dominionist” plot to impose Christianity on us all.

Yes, you read that correctly. McGinniss believes the mainstream media failed to vet Sarah Palin in 2008.
