CNN on Sunday invited author Tim Wise to comment on the Berkley bake sale “controversy.”
Unfortunately, Wise whose reputation for falsehoods has eclipsed any notoriety he’s gained as an author, also has a history of threatening behavior towards conservatives, in particular the publisher of this website.

Love that New Tone! Wise targeted Breitbart’s family, his wife and young children. Despicable.

From Big Government at the time:
The cross burning was believed to be in response to a black pledge being sponsored to join the fraternity. Guess who the sponsor was?Andrew Breitbart.
In fact, Breitbart was the sole sponsor of the black pledge. No one was ever caught for the cross burning, but authorities believed that it was actually targeted at Breitbart and the black pledge.
Using Wise’s tactic, who’s to say the cross burner wasn’t Wise? “Seems fair.”
Why does CNN have as a guest someone who has repeatedly lied about a conservative simply because Wise disagrees with that individual’s politics? Wise can’t be counted on to tell the truth about Breitbart’s time at Tulane due to his bitter partisanship; how can CNN assure viewers that Wise would be truthful in giving analysis? CNN has been making some great strides lately in presenting balanced and diverse thought (the debate they held was the best of all held thus far in terms of questions and format). I’d hate to see them take two steps backwards by featuring as a guest someone who viciously targeted a man’s family.
In fact, Wise hasn’t really contributed much in terms of political thought beyond race-baiting and ad hominem hyperbole. If this man is touted as a representative of the left, then I’m much more optimistic about conservative chances in 2012 than I’ve ever been before.
