Planned Parenthood Calls Undercover Video a Hoax

Live Action has released its fifth undercover video exposing gendercide counseling at two abortion facilities in North Carolina. Gendercide is the targeted aborting of an unborn baby because of its sex.

Within hours of the video’s release, Planned Parenthood went on the offensive. Implying that the “truth” had been left on the cutting room floor like some residual fetal tissue, but not citing Live Action by name, Planned Parenthood attempted to smear the video as a “hoax” perpetrated by selective editing, while offering no facts or explanation for those smears. Yet, Planned Parenthood’s non-denial denial admitted the very accuracy of its staff member’s responses presented in the undercover audio tape.

See Live Action’s entire gendercide video series here.

Crafted in a manner that can mislead the casual reader, the obfuscatedstatement echoes Planned Parenthood’s national propaganda that birth control is under attack and depicts itself as a victim of distortions – though failing to identify a single such distortion:

Planned Parenthood of Central North Carolina provides high quality preventive care including lifesaving cancer screenings, birth control, testing and treatment of STDs, breast health services, Pap tests, sex education, information and health counseling. A group that opposes Planned Parenthood’s mission and services is promoting a hoax patient audiotape that features one of our health centers. Edited videos of hoax patient visits are part of a coordinated campaign by this group over the last several years to distort Planned Parenthood’s services, mission and values.

PP cannot point to any fraud or inaccuracy in Live Action’s video and, in Orwellian fashion, it omits any mention of its abortion services, which are the sole topic of the videos! PP hopes to distract attention from the content of Live Action’s videos–namely that it has been caught red-handed, and repeatedly, approving abortions for unsavory reasons. Planned Parenthood, which receives more than $310 million from taxpayers annually, obviously fears the backlash from so brazenly promoting the focused extermination of unborn females.

Ironically, PP then claims it “condemns” sex-selective abortions and calls on leaders to “challenge the underlying conditions” and to address “conditions that promote gender bias.” Noteworthy about this condemnation is that nowhere does PP say it will refuse to abort females where the expressed motivation by the parent is eugenics or sex-selection. If PP truly wanted to walk the walk of condemning the misogynistic extermination of females, a dedicated effort to counsel women against such a procedure and to refuse to abort females on that basis would be a good start.
