Roland Martin Tells Twitter Followers He's Out at CNN

On his verified Twitter account, CNN contributor Roland Martin seems to be telling some of his followers that, as of April 6, he will no longer be with the network. When asked by one of his Twitter followers why he was leaving, Martin explained, “new boss wants his own peeps.”

Presumably, Martin is talking about newly-installed CNN Chief Jeff Zucker, who has already released a number of CNN staffers, including Jack Cafferty and Soledad O’Brien.

In two other tweets, Martin responded or addressed his followers with more hints pointing to CNN letting him go.

These tweets seem to confirm recent chatter claiming that Martin’s CNN contract, which reports say ends in April, would likely not be renewed.

Update: Breitbart News has requested confirmation from CNN and will update this report if and when we hear back.
