As we enter day 11,468 of the mainstream media’s push to hand Obama a gun control win, here are a couple stories the media would be all over if the politics were, you know, “correct”:
Today’s testimony during the murder trial of abortion practitioner Kermit Gosnell was no less shocking than previous days. Today, a former employee described how she heard a baby scream during a live-birth abortion.
Abortion clinic employee Sherry West described an incident which “really freaked (her) out” and related to the jury how she heard a child who was born alive following an abortion scream.
Robert Stacy McCain has more.
The case of a same-sex Connecticut couple accused of repeatedly raping and abusing two of their nine adopted boys is headed for trial.
Married couple George Harasz and Douglas Wirth of Glastonbury were supposed to be sentenced Friday in Hartford Superior Court under a plea deal, but instead withdrew from their agreement with prosecutors. The men had already pleaded no contest in January to one felony count each of risk of injury to a minor — a reduction from even more serious charges related to sexual assault.
As the Anchoress puts it, if it leads it doesn’t always lead…
Every day of the week, the media will take anecdotal stories like these and turn them into “something larger.” We’ve seen it with rapes, school shootings, and any and everything involving race.
Anecdotal stories that might be inconvenient to The Narrative, though, are memory-holed outside of local media. There is no proof that either of the stories cited above have any large meaning. That is not my point. But the media is such a bunch of Narrative Slaves, that even a single story that goes against The Agenda is not given the attention stories receive that can be used to push The Agenda.
If a local Boy Scout leader or high school football coach was accused of raping his adopted children, do you think the media might cover it?
Do I even have to play “if” with the abortion story?
Ideology will always trump news, profits, and ratings.
