White House Claims 'President Will Not And Can Not Comment' On Gosnell Case

White House Claims 'President Will Not And Can Not Comment' On Gosnell Case

During Monday’s White House press briefing, Fox News Channel’s Ed Henry asked White House spokesman Jay Carney about the ongoing Kermit Gosnell murder trial in Philadelphia.  Incredibly, Jay Carney said “the President does not and can not take a position on an ongoing trial.”

Watch:

This is in stark contrast to the controversial statements made by President Obama with regard to the Trayvon Martin story, when he made the ongoing investigation very personal and said that, had he had a son, he would have looked like the murder victim.

Watch:

It also is quite different from June, 2009, when he commented on the Robert Louis Gates story and said that “clearly, the Cambridge police acted stupidly” when they arrested Gates for obstructing their investigation into a break-in at Mr. Gates’ residence.
