Monday’s “Morning Joe” on MSNBC was an endless roundtable of navel gazing and hand wringing over the astounding weekend events in Boston. Regular panelist Mike Barnicle chastised politicians, specifically senators from South Carolina (probably not Tim Scott,) to think stop and consider the terrorist Tsarnaev brothers as “murderers” first before they “make the leap into terrorism.”
It would be nice, although I realize it’s impossible, to have people who are running for office, whether you’re are running in South Carolina or anywhere else, to just sit back stop and think about this because at one level what happened here was a criminal act. They are murderers. Before you make the leap into terrorism, they are murderers. That’s the first thing that people ought to be aware of, especially United States senators who want to inject themselves into this thing.
