7-10 PM EDT on 'Breitbart News Sunday': Rep. Scalise (R-LA) to Discuss What Congress Is Doing to Stop the Pentagon's Persecution of Christians

On “Breitbart News Sunday,” which airs on Sirius XM Patriot Channel 125 from 7 p.m. EDT to 10 p.m EDT, Rep. Steve Scalise (R-LA), who heads the influential conservative House Republican Study Committee, will discuss reports indicating the Pentagon may be persecuting Christians in the military and what Congress may do about it.

Breitbart News’ legal contributor Ken Klukowski, who will also be a guest on the show, broke the story about a meeting between Pentagon officials meeting and an anti-Christian extremist to discuss the potential ways the Department of Defense can prohibit soldiers from sharing their Christian faith. Klukowski’s report received nearly 1.5 million Facebook shares and over 11,000 comments and deeply resonated with Americans well beyond the political landscape. Klukowski has since called on Congress to tell the Pentagon that the First Amendment rights of solders must be protected.

Gabriel Gomez, the former Navy SEAL and Republican who is battling Democrat Rep. Ed Markey for Massachusetts’s Senate seat, will be on the show to discuss the race.

Jenny Beth Martin, of Tea Party Patriots, will be on to discuss the IRS’s admission on Friday that the agency targeted groups that had “Tea Party” or “Patriots” in their names during the 2012 election. On Saturday, the Associated Press reported IRS officials knew as early as 2011 that the agency was targeting Tea Party groups. Her group, which has both “Tea Party” and “Patriots” in its name, has called on Congress to investigate the IRS’s “crimes.”

Andrew Marcus, the director of the documentary “Hating Breitbart,” which chronicled the late Andrew Breitbart’s firece battles with the mainstream media, will be on the show to discuss his movie and the life of the great visionary.

A.J. Delgado will be on the show to discuss the amnesty bill, and Breitbart’s Liz Sheld and Kerry Picket, who has been thoroughly reporting on Benghazi, will report on the latest developments concerning the White House’s cover-up and what the next steps will be in the Benghazi scandal. Breitbart News provided thorough live updates during the Benghazi hearing last week and also chronicled, in real time, how the mainstream media ignored or diminished important aspects of the hearing.

Pat Caddell, a former chief adviser to President Jimmy Carter, will also join the program to discuss the Benghazi scandal.

Author Michael Keane will also be on the show to discuss his new book, Patton: Blood, Guts, and Prayer. Keane. He is a Fellow of National Security Affairs at the Pacific Council on International Policy. His book looks into Patton’s dedication to his faith and religious conviction and “examines three facets of Patton’s character: how family ties and ancestry directed him to military life, how he constantly pushed the limits of his courage, and how his faith guided his personal and military pursuits.”

Breitbart’s Mike Flynn and Jeremy Segal will discuss the life of Chip Gerdes (@TookieW), a conservative warrior and Alabama football fanatic (Roll Tide!) who suddenly passed away last week. Breitbart News will miss him greatly. The segment will be called, “Tribute to a Warrior: Chip Gerdes.”

Stephen K. Bannon, Breitbart News’ Executive Chairman, hosts the weekly show that shapes the next week’s narrative and news cycle from the center-right.
