Fox News Has No Record of Subpoena Notice Justice Department Claims It Sent

Last week, the Justice Department claimed that back in 2010 it had notified News Corp (parent company of Fox News) that the government had seized the phone records of Fox News reporter James Rosen. News Corp can find no record of the notice. Fox News says flat out that they never received any such notice.

This is just one more twist in a widening scandal involving the extremes the Department of Justice went to in order to stop leaks to the media.

The Justice Department not only targeted Fox News, but also the Associated Press.

Moreover, it was learned Tuesday that the House Judicial Committee is investigating Attorney General Holder for perjury in reference to a statement made under oath about knowing nothing about attempts to prosecute reporters for reporting.

Just a few days later, Holder’s signature was found on an application for a subpoena accusing Rosen of espionage after he published a report about North Korea.
