CNN's Don Lemon: O'Reilly's 'Got a Point About Black People'

After a humiliating episode last week wherein he broke down on the air talking about himself and the persecution of American racism he has personally faced, the wealthy, powerful, and famous Don Lemon of CNN returned to the subject Saturday. In a seven-minute fit of opinion, Lemon defended comments made by Fox News’s Bill O’Reilly on the issue of race:

This is one of those very rare instances in which a CNN anchor spouts opinion that riles up part of the left. But the fact that CNN allows these moments at all is a large part of the network’s growing credibility issue.

To be fair, though, Lemon at least announced he would be shifting into opinion mode, marking a clear line between objective news reporting and his own agenda.
