National Review editor Rich Lowry announced Wednesday that his publication will sue Newark mayor and Democrat US Senate candidate Sen. Cory Booker (D-NJ), the City of Newark, and that city’s police department. The dispute stems from NR’s desire to verify a story Booker has repeatedly told about Wazn Miller, someone Booker claims died in his arms after being gunned down.
Lowry points out that although New Jersey is an open-records state, “[W]e have been stonewalled and given the run-around by everyone we’ve asked for help in obtaining the relevant police records.”
Booker has already been caught once fabricating a story about someone called “T-Bone,” a drug dealer who doesn’t exist.
