Ratings: Fox Dominates, CNN Crashes Back to Earth

CNN’s dominance over MSNBC appears to be coming to an end as CNN loses the ratings sugar high the left-wing network enjoyed as it exploited (and continues to exploit) the tragedy of the missing Malaysian airliner.

TV Newser reports that for the week of April 28, Fox News continued its decade-long trend of absolutely dominating its left-wing competition. For the week, Fox averaged 1.574 million primetime viewers and 955 thousand total day viewers.

In all of cable, Fox News ranked 4th in primetime (and 6th in total day), behind TNT, USA, and the History Channel.

By comparison, MSNBC ranked 26th in primetime and 29th in total day. CNN sits at an even more dismal 33rd in primetime and 27th in total day.

MSNBC beat CNN in primetime viewers: 583,000 to 496,000.

In total day, CNN edged out MSNBC, 353,000 to 366,000.

Monday’s ratings also show CNN is back to fighting MSNBC for last place.
