Rolling Stone: 'Most Dangerous Guns' Shoot Bullets or Buckshot

Rolling Stone’s list of The Five Most Dangerous Guns in America includes virtually any gun that shoots bullets or buckshot.

Their official list shows the most dangerous guns as pistols, revolvers, rifles, shotguns, and derringers.

They cite Glock as an example of a pistol and explain that revolvers can be single or double-action. They use a picture of an AR-15 to show what rifles look like and a photo of a hunting shotgun to show what shotguns look like.

Rolling Stone explains that rifles and shotguns are similar in that both are “fired from the shoulder.” Yet they differ inasmuch as “pulling the trigger of a rifle fires one projectile at the intended target, as opposed to the shotgun’s ability to spray [buckshot].”

Beside the photo of the derringer–the fifth “most dangerous” gun in America–Rolling Stone explains that they did not include “assault weapons” in the list because “comprehensive information” on such weapons was “difficult to assess.”
