On Monday evening, Jorge Ramos, the Univision anchor who recently took a swim across the Rio Grande River, said it was “absurd” for Texas Governor Rick Perry to send the National Guard to the U.S.-Mexico border.
So @GovernorPerry is sending the National Guard to the border to stop…children. Really? Absurd, expensive and won’t change anything.

Ramos, one of the most prominent advocates of amnesty, said Perry’s decision is “expensive” and “won’t change anything.”
Nearly 60,000 illegal immigrant children have been apprehended since October of last year. As Texas state Senator Dan Patrick told Laura Ingraham on Monday, law enforcement officials estimate that somewhere between one in five and one in ten illegal immigrants are actually apprehended.
“You do the math,” he said, noting that more illegal immigrants enter Texas each week than there are native-born Texans during the same period. Patrick also stated that there are at least 100,000 illegal immigrant gang members in the state.
