Late last week Daily Beast columnist Dean Obeidallah tweeted out his belief that conservatives “love seeing Arabs get killed.” Just hours after Breitbart News reported the tweet Tuesday afternoon, Obeidallah deleted the tweet in question and apologized:

I want to sincerely apologize without reservation for my earlier tweet wherein I stated that conservatives want to see Arabs killed.(1of3)

I sincerely do not believe that is true. Sometimes in the heat of the moment, attempts at humor can go terribly wrong. (2of 3)

Good people can disagree on the crisis in Gaza. Sometimes emotion can overwhelm logic and reason. So again I’m sorry for that tweet. 3 of 3

This is the second time in 8 months Obeidallah has had to apologize for his “attempts at humor that can go terribly wrong.” Back in December the left-wing Daily Beast columnist had to apologize for his role in an MSNBC segment where Mitt Romney’s infant grandson Kieran was ridiculed for being black.
