Media Attempts to Smear Scott Walker’s Spotless 2nd Amendment Record

Bastions of liberal bias claiming to be news outlets like Buzzfeed “News” and anti-gun Bloomberg “News” are throwing everything they can at the NRA A+ Rated Governor Scott Walker of Wisconsin to smear his potential candidacy at the White House, claiming his record is impure on guns — even though it’s not true.

And now the DNC is now coordinating with them for the smear. “Add concealed carry to the list of issues Walker has changed his position on just to benefit himself,” said Jason Pitt, a spokesman for the Democratic National Committee.

The unequivocally recognized conservative leader on 2nd Amendment rights, the NRA, is defending Governor Walker against these liberal attacks: Jennifer Baker, a spokeswoman for the NRA, said they are very fond of Walker. “He’s been so good for us on this issue,” Baker said. She also said the author of the Bloomberg story did not even bother to contact the Association for comment. “This is a story used our name in connection with and they never called us to find out,” she said. “Scott Walker has been an unapologetic supporter of the Second Amendment and any attempt to say otherwise is dishonest and reeks of desperate politics.” The NRA even endorsed Walker’s successful reelection bid for governor this past fall with a TV ad that said, “Protect your gun rights. Re-elect Scott Walker.”

Scott Walker has an A+ rating with the NRA, is a gun owner – he owns a shot gun, rifle and bow, who started hunting about a decade ago with some friends he rides with. He hunts duck, pheasant and deer.

Scott Walker’s gun record:

• A+ rating from NRA
• In the legislature, he cosponsored legislation that would include the Right to Keep and Bear arms in the state constitution, and joined voters in approving the change in 1998.
• in 2003 joined voters in approving a constitutional amendment guaranteeing the Right to Hunt and Fish in the state constitution.
• Signed concealed carry, making WI the 49th state to have the law
• Signed castle doctrine, which protects law-abiding citizens who defend themselves and their families from criminal attack
• Signed into law the Hunting Heritage Act which encourages the recruitment and retention of hunters and trappers
• Signed legislation to allow residents to purchase long guns in non-contiguous states. This brings the state into line with forty other states that already allow their residents to purchase and sell rifles and shotguns in non-contiguous states, provided the purchase or sale complies with state and federal law.
• Signed a shooting range protection bill that expands the provisions of current law concerning zoning restrictions regarding noise and provides that a person who owns or operates a sport shooting range is not subject to state or local zoning conditions or rules related to noise and non-conforming use.
• Committed to sign legislation repealing the antiquated 48-hour “time tax” on handgun purchases.
