New York Times Slams Israelis for Shooting Palestinian Terrorists

On Saturday, The New York Times ran a headline with regard to a violent incident in Israel: “Israeli Police Officers Kill Two Palestinian Men.”

The problem: the story actually describes the two Palestinian men attempting to attack the officers “with knives, one at a contested shrine in the West Bank and the other at a checkpoint near East Jerusalem.” The report noted that these attacks on the officers “were the latest in a recent spate of attacks by Palestinians…They have carried out several deadly attacks in Jerusalem and the West Bank using vehicles, knives and guns in recent months.”

The headline tells the whole story of media bias against Israel: when Israelis defend themselves against murderous attacks, the headlines attempt to twist that into a story of murderous Israelis killing Palestinians. An honest headline should have been, “Palestinian Men Attack Israeli Officers, Shot By Police.” But The New York Times and honesty parted ways long ago.
