HuffPo Suspends Self-Imposed Ban on Donald Trump Coverage

The Huffington Post declared in July that they would stop covering current GOP frontrunner Donald Trump’s bid for the Republican presidential nomination.

As Breitbart News previously reported:

As Donald Trump continues to rise in Republican presidential primary polls, The Huffington Post announced today that it will suddenly cease coverage of Trump’s campaign as part of its politics coverage.

The news comes as a new slew of national polls places Trump at the top of the Republican field, threatening traditional Democratic and Republican interests who hope to keep issues like immigration off the national radar screen.

The Huffington Post writes, “After watching and listening to Donald Trump since he announced his candidacy for president, we have decided we won’t report on Trump’s campaign as part of The Huffington Post’s political coverage. Instead, we will cover his campaign as part of our Entertainment section. Our reason is simple: Trump’s campaign is a sideshow. We won’t take the bait.”

It now appears they have. A Saturday evening page splash prominently featured Trump:
