WASHINGTON D.C. September 3, 2015 – The Breitbart News Network (@BreitbartNews) announced today the addition of former Daily Caller/National Journal reporter Neil Munro, who will be joining as Co-National Political Editor working alongside Washington Editor Rich Tucker.

“Neil understands the great issues of our times –immigration, the global rise of radical Islam, the threats to American sovereignty — and will be one of our leaders in reporting it,” said Breitbart News Executive Chairman Stephen K. Bannon.

Breitbart.com is now the 299th most trafficked website in America, according to top web analytics firm Alexa.  By comparison, Breitbart is outperforming other news organizations such as Politico (317), Reuters.com (324), CBS.com (338), Vox.com (334), RollingStone.com (344), MSNBC.com (469), NYMag.com (497) and the NewYorker.com (499).

“I’m delighted to join Breitbart as it becomes the primary site where Americans can find the facts they need to regain the political and cultural power that has been centralized by the nation’s complacent, wealthy and selfish establishment,” said Munro, who immigrated from Ireland more than 25 years ago.

“Neil is a welcome addition and committed to helping our team provide the best and most comprehensive coverage of the political news cycle,” said Breitbart News Network CEO and President Larry Solov.

Breitbart News Editor-in-Chief Alex Marlow added, “With more than 20 candidates competing to win their party’s 2016 Presidential primary, this is an exciting time for Breitbart to continue adding more talent like Neil to help us meet the growing demand for more insightful content from our audience.”

In July, NewsWhip, a social media analytics company, released a study that found Breitbart News ranked #19 among Facebook’s largest publishers on total engagement and #25 on Twitter.
