Univision Anchor Jorge Ramos on Monday praised the “in your face” gun-control activism of the left-wing Parkland students, comparing them to Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals (DACA) recipients who have employed similarly aggressive tactics.

During a Monday evening appearance on MSNBC’s Last Word, Ramos said DACA recipients “and the student survivors in Florida… have exactly the same strategy—in your face.”

“They won’t take no for an answer, “Ramos continued before adding that the country is in “good hands” if it will depend on the DACA recipients and the Parkland gun-control activists.

Like the Parkland students who have been pushing to restrict the second amendment rights of Americans, DACA recipients have also confronted lawmakers on both sides of the aisle from Sen. Chuck Schumer (D-NY) to Sen. Marco Rubio (R-FL) to demand citizenship for themselves and other illegal immigrants.

In a Tuesday Time column promoting his new book, Stranger: The Challenge of a Latino Immigrant in the Trump Era, Ramos continued with his comparison and even said DACA recipients who are activists are like Rosa Parks.

“The Dreamers and the survivors are using the same tactics: to be in your face, unafraid, exploring possibilities with a new and strong voice on social media, exposing hypocrisy and even threatening the political class: If you don’t do what we tell you to do, we’ll get rid of you in the next election,” Ramos wrote.
