Hagel is a delicate flower

In response to Media flipping out over Ted Cruz questioning of Hagel:

I think it’s a great idea to have “some kind of victim” as Secretary of Defense.  You wouldn’t want some sort of super-patriotic America-is-awesome tough guy in a job like that.  We need someone who understands how the hearts of the Iranian mullahs break a little, every time their legitimate elected government has to mutilate a dissident or jail a Christian.  Chuck Hagel knows they’re crying inside, just like he cries every time a mean old conservative throws his own words in his face.
