The long anticipated trial of former Florida GOP boss Jim Greer is not going to happen. Greer plead out to theft and money laundering charges, ending any prospect of former Governor Charlie Crist, or anyone else, having to testifying in the case. Senator Rubio was dragged into this several years ago during the 2010 Republican Senatorial primary race, and many thought that he would get dragged into it again, if the case were to have gone to trial.

There was never really any threat or ‘smoking gun’ that would have come out of a trial, regardless of the speculation that Greer was ready to divulge embarrassing party secrets.
Rubio’s only comment, when asked to comment on Greer’s plea agreement, was a simple “no comment.” And why should Rubio say anything? Think about it, if they had anything on Rubio, they would have used it on him during his 2010 Senatorial race.
