When losing meant something

In response to Collective narcissim:

Hi John,

Remember when losing on the schoolyard, the track, the playing field or in business meant you had to work harder for the win? Now we have too many who truly believe that someone owes them a win or a trophy. I learned from losing, I fought harder. I didn’t win every time but to this day I appreciate the contest on all fields of play.

In the end, I win because I am not a placated loser with a trophy of any kind I did not earn.
