Google Recognizes Palestine as a State

Google has changed the tagline from “Palestinian Territories” to “Palestine” on its home page.

Google spokesman Nathan Tyler, said: ‘We’re changing the name ‘Palestinian Territories’ to ‘Palestine’ across our products.  ‘We consult a number of sources and authorities when naming countries. In this case, we are following the lead of the UN, ICANN, ISO and other international organisations.’

People logging into the www.google.ps will  now see ‘”Palestine” displayed under the Google logo. In November 2012, the UN upgraded “Palestine’s” status from “entity” to “non-member observer state.”

So much for the UN….
