Police: Woman Arrested for Texting Picture of 4-Month-Old with Knife Held to His Throat

CHARLESTON, West Virginia — A woman was arrested and charged with child abuse after police say she texted a picture of her 4-month-old nephew with a knife to his throat. 

According to police, the suspect, Cecile Kranwinkel sent text messages to the child’s father. One of the messages states that the child was being held hostage while another shows a picture of the child with what appears to be blood on his clothes. 

Kranwinkel was charged with sending those messages as well. 

According to the web site myheritage.com, there are 8 people listed with the surname Kranwinkel.
