Members of the hackers alliance known as Anonymous have released a video vowing retaliation against the police department in Hawthorne, California in the wake of an incident where an officer was captured on video shooting a dog, while the dog’s handcuffed owner looked on helplessly. The incident has sparked outrage from many who say the man was unjustifiably arrested for recording police (which is legal) and the dog did nothing to warrant the killing.
Dailybreeze.com reports that Hawthorne city computer specialists have confirmed that an attack has crippled the city’s web site since Monday.
Three officers have been pulled from the streets after the department received numerous death threats.
Watch the video below; warning, it’s graphic.
