While Everyone Is Smearing Bob Filner as a Serial Harasser, Let's Not Lose Sight of the Man's Core Humanity

A voice message left at a city office appears to suggest a direct link between a $100,000 payment to the city and approval of changes to a Kearny Mesa project.
Mayor Bob Filner vetoed changes to the Sunroad Centrum Partners mixed-use project on May 16, then withdrew his veto the next month.

This NBC/San Diego story mentions that Filner is also being investigated for a “pay for play” charge; I assume that’s the Kearny Mesa scandal.

At least I hope it is. I hope he doesn’t have so many corruption allegations flying around against him that people can’t keep track.
