In response to Oconomy: 80% Pay More for Groceries than a Year Ago:
“Rasmussen Reports released a new survey showing that 80% of adults are paying more for groceries today than they were a year ago. Only 12% say they are paying less.
The future doesn’t look much better according to respondents predictions as 70% expect their grocery bills will increase next year.”
This is very true. I, like many Americans do, visit the grocery store almost every other day. I am appalled that the Pillsbury Vanilla frosting spread that I used to pay $1.15 for, is not being sold at $1.69.
This ain’t right!
Also, the mini-butter cream vanilla B-day cakes jumped from $9.99 to $10.99.
Again, this ain’t right!
The grocery stores 6-pack cupcakes also rose in price from $3.99 to $4.99
Something needs to be done. Either something gives with this economy, or I need to cut out the sweets:)
