Cops: Man Lights Crack Pipe While In Police Custody

GOLF MANOR, Ohio (FOX19) – Police say a man arrested on Saturday during a traffic stop added to the charges he faces when he allegedly took out a crack pipe and attempted to smoke his remaining crack while in custody at the Golf Manor Police Department.  

Police say that 46-year-old Rodney Watkins presented officers with false identification during a routine traffic stop. He was taken into custody and transported to Golf Manor after police discovered that he had felony warrants.  After using the bathroom, Watkins allegedly pulled out the crack pipe, a lighter and attempted to smoke. 

He now faces a multitude of charges including theft, drug abuse, obstruction of official business, possession of illegal paraphernalia and extreme determination to get high. 

His bond has has been set at $39,750 because $40,000 is just too round of a number.
