Republican congressional candidate Jorge Bonilla, who is running against liberal Democratic Congressman Alan “Republicans are callous bigoted tools”Grayson, is being backed by one of the House of Representatives heavyweight “kingmakers,” Congressman Rep. Pete Sessions (R-TX).
According to FEC reports, Bonilla’s congressional campaign received the maximum donation of $2000 from Sessions’ re-election campaign account.
Bonilla said that he is “grateful for his guidance and for his counsel,” adding that he (Sessions) has been a friend to us and our campaign, and we’re tremendously grateful for that.”
Bonilla’s campaign is causing a buzz within political circles in D.C. and Florida, as others members of Congress are watching the his race against Rep. Alan Grayson (D-FL).
Republican Congressman Rep. Bill Posey (R-FL) (FL), has also come out and asked for Republicans to support Bonilla’s congressional campaign.
No word yet it Senator Sen. Marco Rubio (R-FL), who has offered advise to Bonilla, will openly support his one-time Senatorial campaign staffer. Yes, Jorge Bonilla worked for then Senate candidate Marco Rubio.
