Rap Artist 'Hardo,' Who Just Signed Multi-Million Dollar Deal, Caught With Hundreds Of Bags Of Heroin

WILKINSBURG (KDKA) – After reportedly just signing a three-million dollar record deal with Atlantic Records, 21-year-old rap artist Joseph Barnett, Jr., who goes by the stage name “Hardo,” has been charged with drug possession with attempt to deliver, resisting arrest, attempt to escape, and several motor vehicle violations after police say they found roughly 250 individually stamp bags of heroin in his car during a traffic stop.

According to a report, police pulled over Barnett after he failed to stop at a stop sign. Police say he was without ID and driving with a suspended license. When questioned about the heroin, Barnett allegedly told police it belonged to a friend who was in the hospital.  Police say Barnett then attempted to flee on foot before being tackled by an officer.

He was jailed on $25,000 bond. His preliminary hearing is scheduled for Thursday.
