Police: Man Floats Across Mexican Border On Fifty Pounds of Marijuana

TUCSON, Ariz. (Tucson News Now) – Responding to reports of a man swimming in the ocean near the U.S.-Mexico border, U.S. Border Patrol agents discovered a 55-year-old Mexican citizen who authorities say swam across the Mexican border – floating on more than fifty pounds of marijuana.  

Authorities say he did not have the proper documents to be in the United States and was subsequently arrested and taken to a border patrol station. 

His duffle bag was filled with seven bundles of marijuana valued at roughly $24,000.
