The bitter Republican Senator, who coined the term “Whacko Birds,” to describe conservative Republican Senators, Ted Cruz, Mike Lee, and Rand Paul, took to the Fox News airwaves and continued blaming the government shutdown on Ted Cruz and his squadron of “Whacko Birds,” saying that they were on a “fools errand” and that the shutdown would not succeed.
The hot-tempered old bird Senator from Arizona dismissed Ted Cruz as a credible Republican Senatorial representative, when Fox News host Martha McCallum told McCain that Cruz and other Senators were going to visit with the President, and asked him what he thought about Cruz representing him and the rest of the Republican Senators.
First of all, Martha please (being smug), he is not representing us there. The Republicans Senators are going over there to meet with the President.-Sen. John McCain (R/D)
