McCain Seriously Thinking of not 'Shoving Off'

Senator John McCain (R – AZ) told KFYI  host Barry Young  he is seriously considering running for re-election in 2016. “I’m seriously thinking about maybe giving another opportunity for you to vote for or against me in a few years from now,” McCain said on KFYI-AM in Phoenix. “I’m seriously giving that a lot of thought.”

Young asked again to clarify if it would be correct to say that McCain would be running for re-election and the Arizona Senator said, “that it would not be wrong.”

McCain would be 80 years old in 2016 when he runs for re-election. The Arizona Republican previously claimed in a September Hill article he was probably in his last term but would decide on running again in two years and  didn’t “want to be one of these old guys that should’ve shoved off.”
