NYPD Search For Missing Blind Korean Tourist Who Speaks No English

(CNN) – The NYPD is looking for a blind Korean tourist who went missing Thursday while his tour group visited the New York’s Metropolitan Museum of Art. To make matters even more difficult for the police, they say 41-year-old Taehueung Kim doesn’t speak any English.

According to police, he became separated from his tour group late Thursday afternoon and was last seen by a security guard at 5 am the next morning in front of the museum. Police say he is 5 feet 6 inches tall, 167 pounds and is legally blind.

Police have directed anybody with information about Kim’s whereabouts to call the Crime Stoppers Hotline at 800-577-TIPS, log on to the Crime Stoppers website or text information to 274637(CRIMES), then enter TIP577.

No information was given as to why a blind man would be touring a museum.
