We already knew about the astonishing heroism of ex-Navy SEALs Tyrone Woods and Glen Doherty, who stepped into the horrifying security vacuum Barack Obama and Hillary Clinton created in Benghazi, and died fighting the terrorists who would later be portrayed as irate movie critics bent out of shape by a YouTube video. The big “60 Minutes” piece on Benghazi this weekend introduced us to a man who uses the alias “Morgan Jones,” an ex-British soldier charged with training the guards for the consulate.
That would be the unarmed guards, mind you. Jones only trained the regular duty security forces, and they didn’t have guns. Madame Hillary and her team of geniuses at the State Department hired a local militia to respond in case the consulate came under attack. Jones thought very little of this crew, and accurately predicted they would run when they came under fire. “We’re here to kill Americans, not Libyans,” the terrorist attacks informed the local personnel before giving them a pistol-whipping and sending them on their way.
Here’s what Morgan Jones did when his friend Ambassador Stevens came under fire, as related to Lara Logan of CBS News:
About 30 minutes into the attack, a quick reaction force from the CIA Annex ignored orders to wait and raced to the compound, at times running and shooting their way through the streets just to get there. Inside the compound, they repelled a force of as many as 60 armed terrorists and managed to save five American lives and recover the body of Foreign Service Officer Sean Smith. They were forced to fight their way out before they could find the ambassador.
Later he slipped into an al-Qaeda controlled hospital to get a look at Ambassador Stevens’ body:
Tell me every actor in Hollywood wouldn’t be lining up to play this guy – or Woods, or Doherty, or Stevens, or foreign service officer Sean Smith, or anyone else who ran into the sound of the guns that terrible night – if the resulting blockbuster film wouldn’t be utterly ruinous to Barack Obama and Hillary Clinton.
