Miami Zoo Elephant Dies Of Constipation

I am  sad to report that Maude, a 41-year-old elephant at the Miami Zoo has suddenly died.

The elephant died from “severe constipation,” which was a direct result fromm he eating too much sand and clay.

Zoo Miami officials said Maude died Wednesday. Zoo communications director Ron Magill told The Miami Herald that the elephant began behaving strangely last week and ultimately stopped eating and having bowel movements.-Fox News

Elephants naturally eat sand and clay to get needed minerals that they are lacking, but apparently Maude ate too much of the two substances, and collapsed and died.
