Florida Senator Sen. Marco Rubio (R-FL), joined his fellow Floridian, and congressional candidate, Jorge Bonilla, in calling for full transparency and accountability over Benghazi from the Obama administration and its State Department, this after it was learned that the attack was indeed carried out by Al Qaeda fighters.
There are those who seek to downplay the ramifications of the events of September 11th, 2012, such as Congressman Rep. Alan Grayson (D-FL), who disgracefully deemed Benghazi “the scandal that never was”. However, I refuse to ignore the sacrifices of Stevens, Smith, Woods, and Doherty. The blood of our brave dead continues to cry out for , and shame on those who willfully refuse to listen.-Jorge Bonilla
Rubio, who is a member of the Senate Select Committee on Intelligence released the follow statement, in which he mentions how the Obama administration served as more of a “roadblock,” than a helpful partner trying to get at the “root cause of these attacks.”
“In particular, the Senate Foreign Relations Committee has yet to seriously examine these attacks that resulted in the death of four Americans, including the U.S. Ambassador to Libya Chris Stevens. The committee should reexamine former Secretary of State Clinton’s failure to provide adequate security for our deployed personnel in Benghazi, as well as what actions she and others, including the President, took in the hours and days that followed the attack.
