24-Year-Old Protester Killed by Pro-Government Gangs in Venezuela

The 22nd person killed in clashes in Venezuela was 24-year-old protester Daniel Tinoco. Tinoco, who was considered a student leader of the protests, was shot in the chest sometime after 10pm.

Eyewitnesses to the incident say he was killed by pro-government militias, sometimes called Chavistas for their support for former President Chavez, who ride motorcycles near protests to beat and harass student protesters.

NTN24 notes that Tinoco appeared on a Venezuelan TV station, Noticias RCN, a few days before he was killed.
