Not even prison bars can discourage young love. That being said, according to authorities, 26-year-old Maura Fussell was arrested Saturday night when she arrived at the Magistrate’s Office to visit her incarcerated husband. Police say Mrs. Fussell, who is from Reston, VA, showed up naked and drunk with the intention of visiting her husband who had been arrested earlier that same day.
According to Arlington Police spokesperson, Dustin Sternbeck, the naked and intoxicated Fussell refused to put on clothes or get in a cab despite being given “several opportunities.”
Her refusal to do so landed her charges of indecent exposure and being drunk in public…as well as night in the county jail.
Both Fussells were released the next day.
Without drawing any conclusions, it is to be noted that on that particular Saturday there was a pub crawl in Arlington which started at 2 p.m. and ended at 9 p.m. Sternbeck could not confirm that either Fussell was a participant in the crawl but said, “anybody who was in Clarendon that afternoon was participating one way or the other.”
And I’m not 100% sure what that quote means.
