Chuck Todd on Senate Races: Things Look 'A Little Bit Rough For the Democrats' (Video)

Only a year ago, it looked like a long-shot, but now most political analysts agree that Republicans have a better than 50% chance of retaking the Senate, this Fall. In his “Daily Rundown” segment on MSNBC this morning, Chuck Todd revealed  why it’s “so scary for the Democratic majority these days.”

As Todd suggests, the GOP is expanding the map, and we’re not done yet. The momentum is all on the GOP side.

Nevertheless, with  nothing but a thin gruel of #WarOnWomen, class warfare, and the usual racial and sexual politics to offer voters, Debbie Wasserman Schultz confidently maintained a couple of weeks ago, that Democrats would hold the Senate.

“Our best weapon may just be Republicans themselves,” said Wasserman Schultz, the chairwoman of the DNC, at a press conference. Her remarks came moments after her GOP counterpart, meeting with reporters across town, predicted a Republican “tsunami” in November.
