Clawson, who worked and lived in Mexico, rattled off in fluent Spanish an embracing statement in Spanish to Hispanics.

 Our Party (Republican) is the party of the family. It is the party of family values, of God, of the country, of liberty. The law needs to be respected, the law needs to be respected. We extend a sincere welcome, a sincere welcome from my heart. Our house is your house.
