What is it with congressional staffers and wannabee staffers getting arrested for something or another?
Former Boxer Jameel McCline, who has just launched his congressional campaign against Democrat Congressman Alcee Hastings, has just endured a big political body blow, as one of his staffers, Julie Reiser has been arrested for burglary, larceny and criminal mischief.
McCline will be challenging Hastings, who knows a thing or two about being arrested by Police, in a Democrat primary election.
McCline, a simpathizing ex-con released this statement:
“I, as an ex-felon who did 5 years hard time paying for a crime I committed in desperation, know all too well what it means to land on the wrong side of the criminal justice system,” McCline said in a statement released by his campaign. “Our hearts and prayers go out to Julie, and to the children caught up in this ugly, all-too-common domestic dispute mess. Now, we have to let the legal process unfold, and let Julie Reiser have her ‘day in court.'”-Jameel McCline
