Platt Will Face Alan Grayson In General Election

The stage is set for this November’s general election between liberal Democrat Congressman Alan Grayson and Republican Carol Platt.

Grayson had an easy time of defeating his Democrat primary challenger Nick Ruiz, while Platt was able to defeat Jorge Bonilla by 20 points.

Platt defeated Bonilla by pouring in over $60,000 of her own money, which helped her pull in the early absentee ballots votes.

Considering that the Republican primary election was dominated by the “anglo” vote, it will be very interesting to see how Platt does in the general election, where she will have to appeal to the 42 percent of Hispanics that reside in her congressional district.

Congratulations to Carol Platt for running a clean and respectable primary campaign.
