A botched kidnapping in the Mexican State of Tabasco left eight dead after gunmen led police in a high-speed gun battle.

Three members of an Arizona militia have been indicted for allegedly stealing cocaine and cash from drug smugglers. Border bandits and rip crews are nothing new along Arizona’s border with Mexico. These are individuals akin to pirates—drug traffickers who steal loads from other smugglers on the US side of the border so they don’t have to run the risk of physically transporting the drugs from Mexico. Conflicts often arise during these rip-offs (Border Patrol Agent Brian Terry was murdered by a rip crew in December 2010), but rarely do the identities of bandits shock US law enforcement.

A Texas woman was shot in Mexico after leaving her dentist appointment. An unknown gunman walked up to a woman from San Antonio and shot her in the head. The woman had just walked out of a dentist’s office in the border city of Nuevo Laredo.

A previously deported convicted rapist from Mexico was recently caught sneaking illegally into the Texas border city of Pharr. This is the second time in less than a week that a previously deported rapist has been captured by Border Patrol agents just inside the U.S. in South Texas.

A federal judge in Phoenix ruled to allow attorneys representing immigrant rights groups to inspect four immigrant detention facilities in Arizona where the attorneys feel immigrants were held under “inhumane and punitive” conditions on August 14. The order comes following an enormous wave of tens of thousands of illegal immigrants who crossed the southwest border in the summer of 2014.

A previously deported illegal alien who had been convicted of sexually assaulting a child earlier this year is back in the United States. U.S. Border Patrol agents arrested 22-year-old Joel Silva Duran, an illegal alien from Mexico, last week near the border city of Roma, court records obtained by Breitbart Texas revealed.

A federal officer of the U.S. Customs and Border Protection agency was carjacked, kidnapped and beaten with a pistol while vacationing in Orlando, Florida. Local media reports four teenagers are in custody in connection with the kidnapping and assault.

A Texas border woman and a male associate received steep prison sentences for their role in an attempt to smuggle approximately 36 grenades into Mexico. The grenades were destined for the hands of waiting cartel gunmen.

The Mexican government is in essence saying, “Pay for your own wall,” referring to 2016 Presidential Republican primary front-runner Donald Trump’s demand that Mexico pay for the wall he intends to build when he is elected president.
