Chris Brown Admits Parole Violation, Will Stay in LA Jail

Chris Brown, the 25-year-old musician better known of late for his court dates than concerts, will stay in an LA jail after telling a judge he violated his parole.

The incident involved Brown allegedly breaking the nose of a man trying to snap a picture of the R&B star.

Chris Brown was ordered to remain in a Los Angeles jail Friday after the R&B singer admitted he violated his probation by getting into an altercation outside a hotel in Washington, D.C., last year.

Superior Court Judge James R. Brandlin sentenced the singer to serve an additional 131 days in jail, although he’s likely to get out much sooner….

Brandlin sentenced Brown to serve a year in county jail but gave him credit for nearly eight months. The credits include time that the singer has spent in rehab and jail, as well as credits for good behavior while behind bars. Brown’s time in jail could be cut down even more drastically once sheriff’s officials start tallying his sentence and determine whether he’s eligible for early release.

Brown, who also has appeared on the big screen in films like Think Like a Man and Takers, has received treatment for substance abuse and anger management over the past year. His romance with superstar Rihanna made them popular with the paparazzi. In 2009 Brown was arrested for assaulting the singer, a crime which began a series of legal woes for the talented performer.
