Macklemore got himself into some trouble recently, after photos of the rapper wearing a fake beard, hooked nose and a wig onstage at a performance in Seattle on Friday night prompted charges of anti-Semitism from fans and critics.
Actor Seth Rogen took the rapper to task on Twitter:
.@macklemore, first you trick people into thinking you’re a rapper, now you trick them into thinking you’re Jewish? pic.twitter.com/3rtaE4GHje

Macklemore issued a tweet of his own in self-defense, insisting the costume wasn’t meant to be anti-Semitic:
A fake witches nose, wig, and beard = random costume. Not my idea of a stereotype of anybody.

Rogen wasn’t buying it:
.@macklemore really?? Because if I told someone to put together an anti Semitic Jew costume, they’d have that exact shopping list.

It looks like Macklemore has some explaining to do.
