Republican dark horse Congressional candidate and Stanford University anesthesiologist Dr. Vanila Singh has just released the second video ad of her campaign for Rep. Mike Honda’s seat in the Democrat-dominated 17th congressional district.
With less than two weeks to go until the June 3 primary election, Singh’s 30-second ad highlights her intent to lower taxes and pass a balanced budget amendment.
Singh has made a strategic choice, until recently, to stay out of the boisterous fighting between Honda and Democrat primary challenger Ro Khanna, a former Commerce official in the Obama Administration. She hopes that her unusual and, until recently, elusive tactic will allow the rivaling Dems to split the vote, boosting her to a top-two finish, ahead of Khanna and fellow Republican Joel Vanlandingham.
