One Alleged Home Invader Killed, One Wounded in Shootout With Orosi Resident

On May 26 two alleged home invaders broke into a house and got in “a violent gun battle” that left “one suspect dead and a second seriously wounded.”

According to the Fresno Bee, the home was in Orosi. And when the invaders broke in at 6 a.m., “four siblings–ages 22, 18, 11, and 8–were [there].” The 22-year-old “heard the sound of someone breaking through a door, then saw at least two people in his home.” He retrieved a gun from the safe, “confronted the suspects,” and a gun fight ensued.

The 22-year-old was “hit by multiple rounds, as were [the] two intruders.” One of the intruders died at the scene while the second made it out of the house and into a get away van that was waiting for him. He was driven to Keweah Delta Medical Center, and two occupants in the getaway van carried him in then fled.
