Skin Care Expert Solicited White Supremacist Group to Kill 'Gay Mexican' Competitor

A high-profile skin care specialist’s competitive streak was taken to a whole new extreme when it was discovered that she tried to hire a white supremacist group to “take out” one of her competitors, who she described as a “double minority, Mexican gay.”

According to KTLA, Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department Detective sheriff’s Steven McCauley testified in a Los Angeles court on Monday that Dawn Melodie DaLuise, 55, a North Hollywood esthetician had planned to have Gabriel Suarez killed. Suarez opened a salon in the same complex as hers, threatening her business, which prompted her to take action.

The judge at the preliminary hearing determined that there was enough evidence to bring DaLuise to trial on one count of solicitation of murder. She is expected back in court on July 7. If convicted, she faces nine years in state prison.

Detective McCauley arrived at the conclusion that DaLuise had tried to solicit someone to carry out the crime. He noted that in one particular instance, she asked a man if she could get him in touch with “a white supremacist group” in order “to find somebody to take out a ‘double minority, Mexican gay,” following a series of interviews with several men whom she had allegedly been in touch with, notes KTLA.

A prosecutor said DaLuise, who touts multiple Hollywood actresses as clients, had tried to make it seem like Suarez had been stalking her online and even asked friends to lie to police about him allegedly cyber-stalking her.

Outside the courtroom, Suarez expressed that he found details surrounding the case to be frightening. “It’s just really scary…the hate this person could have toward somebody,” he said.
